With that in mind, this year I am riding 168 miles with the Pedals for Pediatrics (P4P) team, a group of pediatric oncology doctors, nurses, and researchers at DFCI who focus their daily efforts on eradicating cancers in children. I am grateful to know and have worked with some of these individuals, can speak to their dedication and resolve, and very proud to support their efforts. The P4P team is a restricted funds team meaning that 90% of what is raised is given directly to the DFCI pediatric oncology department (the other 10% goes to the DFCI general fund). This is an opportunity to make a substantial difference in the elimination of pediatric cancers. Now its time to unabashedly ask for your money, as much as you can give, knowing that every dollar is a step toward better treatments and potential cures in childhood cancers.
