This is my 2nd Pan Mass Challenge (PMC) ride for cancer! (skipped the PMC 2020 reimagined ride due to Covid 19 Pandemic) As a Heavy Hitter in 2019, I raised $8,600+ for my virgin PMC ride! The 190 mile ride was THE MOST physically challenging, emotional, yet amazing experience. I'm riding because I CAN & because so many people cannot anymore.
On Sat, September 25th, 2021 I will ride AGAIN a Reimagined PMC Ride with some awesome friends to Nubble Light in York, ME, about 80 miles, to raise monies for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. Too many clients, colleagues, friends & family members have been & are being affected. CANCER SUCKS! (PLEASE FEEL FREE TO GIVE ME THE NAME OF A PERSON YOU WOULD LIKE ME TO RIDE IN HONOR OF. I WILL MAKE A RIBBON WITH THEIR NAME ON IT, PIN IT TO THE BACK OF MY PMC SHIRT & CARRY THEM WITH ME FOR 80 MILES!)
CLICK ON THE PHOTO GALLERY TO SEE THE FOLLOWING PEOPLE I AM RIDING IN MEMORY OF (also see photos of fundraisers & 2019's PMC): I'm riding in memory of my grandpa, Howard S. Platts (Howie) of Haverhill, who worked at the Bradford Paper Mill and was a member/custodian of the Haverhill Riverside Memorial Church. He passed away in 1986 from cancer that started in his lungs and spread to other organs at the young age of 70. I'm riding also in memory of my dear friend Rose Paladino Brown's mom Nicolena V. (Mazzoni) Paladino of Stoneham who passed recently in 2017 at 84 years old from lung cancer. Also in memory of B Alexander Hamilton of West Newbury, the husband of my mentor, friend and referral partner Deb Hamilton, Alex passed at the young age of 67 in 2017 from lung cancer. Also in memory of Jessica E. (Newby) Petkewich of Bradford, a seller client of my that left us way to young of breast cancer at the young age of 48 leaving 2 young, beautiful high school and college age daughters. Also riding in memory of Victoria Parrot of Kingston, NH, a dear past Seller and Buyer client who passed way too young at the age of 51 in 2016 of colon cancer leaving a bright, beautiful high school age daughter and loving husband.
I'm a proud supporter of the PMC because it is leading a charge to beat cancer. In fact, last year 100% of rider-raised revenue went directly to support the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's tireless commitment to finding a cure. Will you please help me reach my goal?
