First and foremost, I ride in memory of my wonderful mother who died at 67 years old of endo-cervical cancer. My sister Cindy and I are both breast cancer survivors. I am an oncology nurse at Massachusetts General Hospital and recently became the Nurse Director of the Termeer Center for Targeted Therapies where we administer the drug trials for new cancer medications. We are making progress toward better treatments for cancer patients, thanks to your contributions! I ride for my patients and my colleagues. I ride for many friends and patient's family members who are left with broken hearts when cancer takes their loved ones. And I ride for the fun of the PMC, the fans cheering us on, the survivors along the route and for the pure enjoyment of seeing the beautiful Massachusetts scenery.
