I know what it is like to have your world turned upside down within a minute. Every expectation, plan, and future dream shattered, entering a free fall into uncertainty, fragility, and fear. I have learned over the years to see where I have no control and where I do. I can control how I take care of myself so that I can care for others in my world. While I can’t control whether someone gets cancer, I can do what I can to ensure that research and support continue to grow while doing what I can do to keep myself in healthy condition at the same time.
Community, exercise, wind in my hair, and purpose are things that keep my life filled with meaning, and that is why I have chosen to ride this year. Inspired by personal stories, a friend who rode last year, and my love of the muppets, especially Kermit the frog, will be the force behind each pedal I push.
I will be riding with Team Kermit, and all funds raised will support the Jared Branfman Sunflowers for Life Fund, a fund named for another young man who died much too young. I am riding the one day ride this year, which entails a commitment to raise $4000, so I'm grateful for your help! It Last year 100% of rider-raised revenue went directly to support the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's tireless commitment to finding a cure.
If you aren’t riding the PMC ride yourself this year, please support me in supporting those in need. I thank you deeply for your generosity and support!
