I lost a cousin a few years ago, another this year and last year a very dear friend Joe Lynch. Joe was a beautiful, kind loving husband and father. He was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer and passed away 5 weeks later. I was blessed and fortunate to have had him in my life. He would teach spinning classes with so much energy, the room would light up with smiles. He could not wait to get up and change lives one day, and one class at a time.
Along with his wife Sharon and our friend Dave, we ride in memory of Joe and my cousins this year because we focus on cures and not loss. It is my first PMC ride and I am honored to be a part of a group who dedicate their rides to loved ones. It will be an emotional 2 days and I will be guided by those who have fought with strength and grace.
